Parker GH 12 damascus
Parker GH12 gauge SxS shotgun with 28” Damascus barrels. Circa 1904 this fine Parker shotgun was built on the desirable 1 ½ weight frame and was embellished #2, Grade engraving. The frame has almost no remaining case colors and has patina of light grey. The engraving is sharp on both sides and somewhat worn on the bottom. It has a capped pistol grip buttstock, double triggers, automatic safety and a splinter forearm. The fine Damascus barrels exhibit a very fine exterior Damascus pattern and have mirror bright perfect bores which are choked .005” (light IC) and .032” (full). The bores were professionally polished some years ago but they still maintain a very healthy.030” wall thickness.
The very handsomely grained buttstock has a 14” LOP to the factory dog’s head buttplate with 1 5/8” DAC and 2 ¾” DAH and neutral cast. The wood appears to have been professionally refinished at some time and retains 99% of its finish since then. Mechanically perfect and top lever still to the right of center. The gun weighs 7 lbs. 1 oz. and comes with a letter from The Parker Gun Collectors Association.
