How else to describe this gun other than "drop dead gorgeous"! Spectacular Fratelli Piotti, Monaco #2 side lock, 16 gauge shotgun in 99% condition. This gun was hand crafted in 2007 and imported to the US by William Larkin Moore and Sons as a special order gun. Optional features are the single trigger, the semi-beavertail forend and the 16 gauge. The 28" chopper lumb barrels are ideally choked: .007 & .013 (IC/LM). The magnificently Contessa engraved action features a bulino Ruffed Grouse on the left lock plate, a bulino Woodcock on the right lock plate, a gold inlay of a Ruffed Grouse on the trigger guard, a gold inlaid of a Woodcock on the operating handle, on either side of the operating handle there is a profile a Woodcock head and a Grouse head AND the rest of the receiver is a tasteful variety of scroll. The wood is equally outstanding..incredible figure, flawless checkering and a gorgeous finish and great dimensions: 14 3/4" LOP to the checkered butt; 1 1/2" DAC; 2 1/4 DAH and a 1/4" right hand cast at the heel with 3/8" right hand cast at the toe. Overall weight is 5 lb. 13 oz. It comes in the maker's leather case. Not much else to say other than it is "drop dead gorgeous"!!

Winchester 23 Classic 410 bore
Winchester 23 Classic 410 bore SxS shotgun, 26” Mod & Full. This gun comes with the original box and all paperwork along with the original case. The gun retains 99% original metal finish but the wood shows some light handling marks. Used but not abused by Tom. A letter of provenance from Mr. Watson accompanies the gun. SN: CL410-387E

Parker GHE
Parker GHE 12 ga shotgun. 30” barrels marked Full and Full and measure .035 & .035. Pistol grip, double triggers, dogs head butt plate, splinter forend. This beautiful Parker was made in late 1934, serial #237906; this was the first year of the Remington manufactured Parkers. This GHE, save for a small scratch on the left barrel, and a 1/8” long dent on the right side of the forend is in NEW condition. All of the finish is 100% original. I will call the gun 99% overall. In addition to the ultra high condition on a gun that is 77 years old the wood has magnificent figure. Owned by the original owner until 6 years ago, a note card indicated that Runge had done the engraving. Museum quality.

F.lli Rizzini R-2 20 gauge
One of the very finest guns in the world! F.lli Rizzini 20 gauge R-2 boxlock SxS shotgun. 27" barrels choked .002 & .025 (cylinder and full). Double triggers, ejectors manufactured in 1979 this is the first time that this gun has been in the U.S. Absolutely spectacular French walnut straight grip stock, 14 1/2" LOP over the checkered butt, 1 1/2" DAC and 2" DAH with a right hand cast of 1/4" at the heel and 3/8" at the toe; matching splinter forend. Magnificent Patelli engraved delicate floral pattern on the coin finish frame. Serial number 1661 weighing in at a mere 5 lbs 15 oz this is truly a fabulous "best" game gun.

Parker GH 28 gauge SN: 240901
Parker GH 28 gauge made in 1937 after Parker was acquired by Remington. This gun has 26” barrels that are choked .002 & .003 with perfect .550 bores. Original straight grip stock is 14” LOP to a checkered butt with 1 ½” DAC and 2 3/8” DAH. The forearm iron is correctly numbered to the gun and is for a beavertail. Although the stock and forearm are a perfect match the forearm wood may have been replaced..Perhaps by DelGrego when they restored the gun some years ago. The tiny 00 frame retain 95% colors with fine/original GH engraving and the barrels have 95% blue. The gun has double triggers.

Parker Reproduction DHE 12 gauge SN: 12-65
Parker Reproduction DHE 12 gauge. 2 ¾” chambered, 26” IC (.008)/L Mod (.012) barrels. Straight grip, splinter forend, single selective trigger. Pretty scarce gun, the 12 gauge were produced in far less quantity than the 20 gauges and the 28 gauges. This gun has been fired but it’s hard to tell! The blue is perfect, the wood is nicely figured, 14 1/8" LOP, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/4" DAH, with 1/4" RH cast at the heel and 3/8" at the toe. The finish is bright with just a few small marks on the forend and the colors are slightly faded. The case and the case cover are flawless. Overall length is 42 3/4" and weight is 6 lbs 8 oz.

Purdey Best Sidelock 20 gauge
Magnificent Purdey 20 gauge, self-opening side-lock. 27” barrels factory choked .010 & .010. Stock dimensions: 15 ¼” to a checkered butt; 1 3/8” dac; 2 3/8” dah. Purdey single trigger. Cased in original Purdey luggage case with accessories. Manufactured in 1985. 97% original blue with slight muzzle wear and 85% slightly faded colours. Wood is 98% with just a very few minute handling marks.

Merkel 303E, 12 gauge sidelock O/U shotgun
28” vent rib barrels with Briley thin wall chokes. Very tastefully engraved with ducks and retriever on the left lock plate and pheasants and a raptor on the right, hand detachable, lock plate. Profuse intricate scroll engraving covers the rest of the frame, trigger guard, forend latch, top lever and chamber area of the barrels. Dark grained prince of wales grip style butt stock and three piece forend with fine (28 lpi) add to the handsome gun. Proof dated May 1954 this gun retains over 98% of its overall finish with just a few handling marks visible in the wood. Single selective trigger. 14” LOP over factory butt plate, 1 3/8” DAC, 2” DAH and right hand cast of ¼” heel & 3/8” toe. Very nicely balance 7 lbs. 5 oz. SN: 39431

The game scene engraving is very well executed bulino style and features flushing pheasants on the left, jumping mallards on the right and a bird dog on the bottom. The borders are inlayed gold wire. The three piece forend and buttstock in highly figured walunt and finely carved checkering are by Donnie Gemes of Show-Me-Gunstocks.
