Mauser Custom Bolt Action Rifle

FN Mauser Commercial bolt action rifle custom built by Vic Olsen. Chamber in Remington .280 this rifle was very tastefully made. The stock is a nicely figured French Walnut and it was precisely inletted and fitted. The stock features a Pachmayr presentation decelerator pad, a shadow line cheek piece, inletted sling swivels, steel grip cap, ebony forend and finely executed checkering that appears to be 22 lpi. The bolt features a Winchester Model 70 style 3-position safety and the knob is 5-panel checkered and, of course, it has a classic full-length extractor. The barrel is 23” long and of unknown manufacture. The trigger is fully adjustable and it was made in Finland. The gun also has a hinged steel floor plate/trigger guard combination and there is just a couple spots of rust showing on the bottom of the trigger guard where the floor plate release pivots. This rifle weighs 8# 12 oz with the Swarovski 3.5-10X42 A Habicht scope mounted. The trigger pull is crisp, no travel and right at 2 ½#. Overall condition is excellent. I have hunted with this rifle and I have sighted it in; consistently shooting 3-shot 1” groups. Fine rifle, excellent caliber.

With the scope $2899. Without the scope $2200.
